Hand’Solo Records 30th Anniversary Tour

Celebrating 30 years of independent Canadian hip-hop, the Hand’Solo Records 30th Anniversary Tour brings together three generations of underground rap excellence for a cross-country celebration of music, culture, and community.

Headlining the tour is legendary Vancouver emcee and producer Moka Only, one of Canada’s most prolific and respected hip-hop artists, with a career spanning more than three decades and countless releases. His first 12” release was with Hand’Solo Records in 1997.

Joining Moka is Prairie rap veteran Epic, whose honest lyricism, engaging live performances, and decades-long dedication to independent hip-hop have made him a respected voice in Canadian underground rap. His first album with Hand’Solo Records was in 2008.

Representing Northern Ontario is Copper Cliff rapper Mickey O’Brien, whose upcoming album Requiem for the Working Class continues his tradition of honest storytelling rooted in working-class life, recovery, and resilience. A third-generation miner and international touring artist, O’Brien has performed across Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia, and the United States while balancing life underground at Vale with a growing catalogue of acclaimed independent releases. Mickey has released albums on a yearly basis with Hand’Solo Records since his solo debut in 2019.

Together, these artists embody the spirit that has defined Hand’Solo Records for 30 years: authentic voices, independent creativity, and a commitment to building hip-hop from the ground up. From Vancouver to Halifax, this anniversary tour celebrates the past, present, and future of Canadian underground hip-hop.
