About this event

Save the date and get excited for Round 2 of The Temple Lounge VIP Music Series! We are beyond excited to welcomeĀ @madeleinerogerĀ as our first of three artists!

Madeleine Roger is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Canada. While skillfully accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, it is her artistry as a songwriter that can silence a room, uniting her lyrical mastery with a crystal-clear, straight-from-the-heart voice that lingers long after the last note. Her latest album ā€œNerveā€ (produced by Josh Kaufman – Bonny Light Horseman, Anais Mitchell, Bob Weir) is an unflinchingly honest body of work examining every nook and cranny of love and loss, while finding a curious peace in spite of it all. ā€œThese are devastating songs – beautiful music from Winnipeg’s Madeleine Rogerā€ – Tom Power, Q on CBC.

Micaela Rae (@micaela.rae) is a singer-songwriter based out of Toronto, ON. Growing up with a fascination for writing and storytelling, she took to playing guitar as a child and began transitioning her stories into songs. Writing at the intersection of folk, jazz, and poetry, Rae’s songs unfold with raw conviction – rooted in melody, and driven by lyrics that pay close attention to language, silence, and emotional nuance, as she honours the complex relationships between friends, lovers, and family.

Tim Villa is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto, Canada. In his role as frontman of rock outfit Hymn Villa, his airtight songwriting tends to encircle genres ranging anywhere from the Marc Bolan-esque to Aughts-era indie, with a strict focus on the endlessly catchy and the rhythmically inevitable. Left to his own devices, Tim Villa expands his sonic horizons to envelop the more ethereal and romantic sensibilities of neo-torch and hypnagogic pop. Hymn Villa plans on releasing their sophomore EP, ā€œYours to Loseā€, this coming May, 2026.

We’ll see you at our second of four series this year! And make sure to await the announcement of our other artists soon!
