Tixert vs Ticketmaster
These two platforms are aimed at different ends of the business. Ticketmaster works with clients through a team that scopes the right solution for the venue and the volume. On Tixert you open an account and put the show on sale yourself, this afternoon, and the marketing tooling comes with it.
How you get started is the real difference
Ticketmaster's business onboarding is relationship-led. From their own work-with-us page: submit event, volume, venue and business details; a team then scopes the solution. For a venue with a season and a volume to discuss, that scoping conversation is a sensible way to arrive at the right arrangement.
Tixert starts at the other end. You create an account, build the event, set your ticket types and taxes, and put it on sale — no volume threshold to clear first, no solution to be scoped before you can price a ticket. That suits an organizer whose next show is in three weeks and whose annual volume is not the point.
Tixert's own rate is published and applies to everyone: 3.5% + $1.29 per ticket, plus 2.9% + $0.30 per order. The organizer decides whether to absorb the fee or pass it to the attendee. If your volume warrants a different rate, that is a conversation we are glad to have — but you can read the standard one before you have it.

Where these figures come from
Last reviewed 2026-09-14. Every Ticketmaster figure on this page is read from that source on that date; Tixert’s own rate is published on our pricing page.
Tixert is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster is a trademark of its respective owner.
You are doing your own marketing either way
An independent organizer promotes the show themselves: the posts, the boost, the promoter who shares it, the venue list, the poster in the window. The question that never gets answered is which of those actually sold tickets. Tixert records the source on every order, so next month's promotion budget follows evidence instead of instinct.
The audience that builds sits under your organization, on your own event pages, and you can see it. That matters more the smaller you are, because you cannot afford to re-buy the same attendee every time.

Giving a buyer a reason to come back
Tixert runs two point systems. They look similar from the buyer's seat and are completely different from yours, so it is worth being exact about which is which.
Tixert Points are platform-wide and Tixert funds them. Someone holding a balance can pick a night they would have skipped on price — and if they pick yours, you are paid in full, because we are covering the points. It brings you an attendee, and the revenue that comes with them.
Organization Points belong to you. They are optional, you set the rate — a free ticket after ten purchases, a few dollars off each time, whatever threshold fits — and you fund them. Tixert does not reimburse a redemption, so what you get back is the repeat attendance, not the dollars. That is the deal, stated straight: a reward you choose to extend to the people who keep buying from you specifically.
Both redeem in part. Points come off the ticket price, so a balance is worth something long before it is worth a whole admission. Loyalty on other platforms often lives in discount codes, memberships or third-party reward partnerships; here it is inside the ticket purchase.

If you are running something large, start with the rate
The readers of this page are the most likely to be running a season, a room with a calendar, or a volume worth pricing around. That is the conversation to have first — tell us roughly how many tickets you sell in a year and we will come back with a rate. You can still open an account and put a show on sale this afternoon while we talk.

Frequently asked questions
When another ticketing platform may be a better fit
Ticketmaster operates at a scale we do not. Their consumer recognition is enormous, their infrastructure handles on-sales that would flatten most systems, and for major venues and large event operations they are a genuinely suitable choice — that is what the scoping conversation with their team exists to arrive at. If that is the operation you are running, they may well be the better fit, and we would rather say it than talk you out of it.
Different organizers weigh things differently, and their strength here does not imply a weakness on our side. Tixert is built by people who have organized events and marketed them, for organizers who want to get started without clearing a threshold, change things without raising a ticket, see organizer value in what they are paying for, and know the people on the other end of the phone. That is the accessibility-and-relationship end of the market, and it is deliberate.
