Tixert Points & Organizer Points Policy

1. Tixert Points (TP) System

Overview:

  • Tixert Points (TP) are site-wide points earned on purchases, usable for any event's tickets. Each TP equals $0.01 CAD.

Earning TP:

  • Earn up to 2.5% of the order total as TP.
    • The exact percentage is negotiated between Tixert and the organizer.
    • Example: If set at 2.5%, a $100 CAD purchase earns 250 TP (2.5% of $100 = $2.50 worth of TP).

Redeeming TP:

  • Redeem TP for tickets on the platform.
  • Points required = Ticket price × 100.
    • Example: A $100 CAD ticket costs 10,000 TP.
  • A user can redeem fractional amounts. Rather than the entire price of the order, they can redeem any % less than the total (before taxes and fees, after discounts).

Revenue Split:

  • 100% of TP value goes to the organizer.
    • Example: Redeeming 10,000 TP (worth $100 CAD) gives the organizer $100 CAD.

2. Organizer Points (OP) System

Overview:

  • Organizer Points (OP) are unique to each organization. These points are earned from ticket sales generated from their own event. Each organization sets their own rate. Each OP equals $0.01 CAD.

Earning OP:

  • Organizers set a custom percentage for OP earning.
    • Example: If set at 5%, a $100 CAD purchase earns 500 OP.

Redeeming OP:

  • Redeem OP only for tickets from the issuing organizer.
  • Points required = Ticket price × 100.
    • Example: A $100 CAD ticket costs 10,000 OP.
  • A user can redeem fractional amounts. Rather than the entire price of the order, they can redeem any % less than the total (before taxes and fees, after discounts).

Revenue Split:

  • Organizers do not receive any revenue from OP redemptions, as they are considered discounts. However, the benefit lies in building a loyal fanbase and encouraging repeat purchases and frequent attendance.

3. Policy

  • System Changes:

    • Tixert may adjust or discontinue TP/OP systems at any time.
    • Organizers can change OP earning rates.

  • Partial Redemption:

    • Points can partially reduce pre-tax order costs.
      • Example: 1,000 TP reduces the order by $10 CAD.

  • Earning & Redemption Basis:

    • Points are earned/redeemed on pre-tax base price after discounts.

4. Summary

  • TP (Tixert Points):

    • Site-wide, earned at up to 2.5% of order total, with the percentage negotiated between Tixert and each individual organizer.
    • Redeemable for any event where Tixert points can be earned.
    • Organizer receives 100% of redeemed TP value.

  • OP (Organizer Points):

    • Organizer-specific, earned at a custom percentage, redeemable only with the issuing organizer.
    • Organizer receives 0% of redeemed OP value as it's considered a discount.

  • Point Redemption Formula:

    • Price × 100 = Required Points (applies to both TP and OP).
